Our guide Gina spoke really good English and used a lot of humour to make the tour exceptional. The information she gave us about the history of Venice, setting in context the role of the Doge, and how Venice grew, was really good. The building itself has lots of interesting information and you might just walk past, even with the audio tour. Gina brought the tour to life with some much detail. Information about the source of the words quarantine and collegiate are examples.

Me and my boyfriend did a tour of the prison which is next to the Doge Palace - the bridge of sigh connects them both. It was very interesing learning about the old and new prison and about how Casanova escaped. The tour guide was brilliant and explained everything in English in great deal.

The audioguide provided for the Doge's Palace and the San Marco's church are very informative and make you feel as if you are walking in these buildings at the peak of their glory
